HELLE PAGH - HEAD OF DESIGN

I am responsible for setting a well-defined design direction for Karup Design's furniture. I am specifically in charge of creating a strong, well-founded design strategy based on relevant and current insights. And then, I have to write good, creative design briefs that provide our designers with the best conditions for making innovative, aesthetic furniture. And yes, I am, of course, together with my skilled colleagues, responsible for ensuring that product development progresses from brief to finished products.

I have worked as a strategic planner in the advertising industry for nearly 20 years and thereafter as a marketing manager, so this is an exciting new challenge for me with lots of new things to learn – although some of the tools and methodologies along the way may seem familiar.

Even Mondays at Karup Design feel quite Friday-like – and this is largely thanks to the tasks on my desk, the level of ambition in the company, and above all my lovely, empathetic, skilled, and extremely funny colleagues. I love being part of a team that just wants to – and wants the best for each other.

Love to play tennis, hiking, concerts – and yes, just being in social company.
