Groove was designed by Swiss designers Fabien Roy & Christophe Guberan. Based in the Jura Mountains – surrounded by forests – the duo creates furniture with a deep respect for the environment and available resources. Their approach blends nature, craftsmanship, and aesthetics in a way that feels both intuitive and responsible.

The ambition behind the Groove shelving system was to create a simple, modular design based on a clear principle: slats, planks, and gravity. Each shelf features a groove that allows it to click onto the frame – no screws or metal parts required. A brilliantly minimalist system that’s functional, flexible, and surprisingly easy to adjust. Plus, the reduced use of materials keeps both the design and the price accessible.

The collaboration with Karup Design is rooted in shared values: a love of wood, a preference for simplicity, and a desire to create furniture that does more with less. The result is Groove – a shelving series where precision, lightness, and elegance come together in a design that is both functional and full of character.
