Summer 2026 marks a new chapter for Roots - one of the longest-running designs in the Karup catalogue. Same structure. Same function. New material story. Relaunched in mega corduroy across five new colours. Alongside it: a new bed and a new pouf - built for the same customer, the same homes.

ROOTS has been folding out for guests, making room for slow Sundays, and helping small homes live a little larger for decades. The shape stays the same. The way it works stays the same.
What’s new is the fabric.
ROOTS 90 and ROOTS 140 in raw are now available in five new corduroy colours: Soft Cream, Dark Cocoa, Retro Orange, Khaki Green and Hazy Blue. Softer, warmer and more tactile, the textured fabric brings depth, comfort and character to the sofa bed you already know.

Latch Bed - pine, simply joined
Latch Bed takes its name from the way it's built - broad pine boards joined into one calm, continuous form, where headboard and integrated bedside tables emerge from the same honest gesture. The result is a bed that keeps what matters close: room for books, lighting, and the quiet rituals of evening, all within easy reach.
Crafted in solid, raw pine, the design carries a quiet honesty. Visible knots and grain patterns bring warmth and variation to the clean construction, while the low profile adds a grounded, architectural presence to the room.
With balanced proportions and integrated function, Latch Bed lets the routines of everyday life settle naturally into the design.
